CAMBRIDGE EXAM PREPARATION
A good knowledge of English backed by appropriate language certification can give students a competitive advantage, giving them endless opportunities for study, work and life in their home country and abroad.
Cambridge English exams are designed for primary and secondary school students and include extensive support in learning, teaching and assessment.
All exams are linked to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the internationally agreed standard for determining language proficiency. This framework makes it easier to check students progress and allows employers and educational institutions to recognise students language proficiency.
The exams administered at San Antonio de Padua are:
Cambridge English: Young Learners (YLE) - Pre-A1, A1 and A2 levels of the CEFR
Cambridge English: Key (KET) for Schools - CEFR Level A2
Certifies that students have a solid foundation in an initial level of English.
Cambridge English: Preliminary (PET) for Schools - CEFR Level B1
Certifies that students manage an intermediate level of English in a satisfactory manner.
Cambridge English: First (FCE) for Schools - CEFR Level B2
Certifies that students have an intermediate-advanced level of oral and written English, ideal for academic and work purposes.
Taking English to the Highest Levels
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) - CEFR Level C1
The most internationally recognized exam for studying and working in English-speaking countries.
In addition to these exams, there are internationally recognized teacher certifications that provide a high standard of English language instruction for new teachers, as well as first-class professional development opportunities for experienced teachers.
In the St. Maarten region, teacher training and assessment began and these certificates
were issued earlier this year with the TKT international certificate for English teachers.
